Video Tutorial: Funky French with Tickle my Triangle & Dionisio

The other day was really sunny and I needed a quick manicure so I picked one of my favorite polish I own. I got this polish from Kvacka (thank you :h) and I still can't believe I finally own it. I'm talking about Tickle my Triangle from Kaleidoscope collection. I'm so happy I own this one and How about a Tumble.
Sun
I added 3 thin coats, it dries super fast and it looks gorgeous! Of course you have to take blurry pictures to capture rainbow but it's still way too beautiful in person. :L

Sun - blurry
China Glaze - Tickle my Triangle / 3 coats

Then I decided to experiment with my phone again so I tried to film how I usually do a funky french. I change an angle of filming so I hope you can see better. I use striping tape for any kind of french manicure, because it gives reall precise line on tips.

Only problem now was editing text, because I didn't realize it doesn't show up great because of the too bright lightning and white text isn't really visible.I could change it but it took almost 8 hours to upload on YouTube and I don't have patience to wait again. :/

And a picture...

Letme know what do you think about this video! As always, I would love to hear your feedback! :h Thanks for reading!

Polka Dot with Wild at Heart & Fashion Addict

I have one simple manicure for today. I wore it for few days and after I removed it I had to shorten my nails. :D But you saw my short nubs in my previous post. :P

I did Polka Dot manicure with WAH ages ago but this time I used Wild as Heart as a base. :D
Color Club - Wild at Heart & Fashion Addict
I made dots with Fashion Addict (unfortunately I don't have a holographic version of this beauty :( ) and a dotting tool. Easy and quick. :D

Nail Tek - Foundation 2
Color Club - Wild at Heart / 1 coat
Dots:  Color Club - Fashion Addict & Dotting Tool
Beauty Secrets TC Fast Finish Polish Dryer

What do you think? Do you like Polka Dot pattern? I love it, because it's such a cute pattern! :) I have an image plate with dots but it's much easier to make dots with a dotting tool, at least for me. They're not super perfect but I'm still happy with the final result.

Have a lovely weekend dear readers and followers and thanks for reading! <3

Color Club - Wild at Heart

Finally it's time for nails! :) The other day I wanted to paint my nails but I just couldn't decide what to wear. So I tweeted and lovely Maria from Nails Made Simple suggested this one! Maria and Iris from Polish Amor ♥ are doing Twinsie Friday every week so for this Friday they choose Wild at Heart. You should all check how they use WAH. :)

I already tried Wild at Heart when I made my first Ruffian manicure but I never wore it alone, so I'm happy I finally did. Wild at Heart from Color Club is a dark violet  holografic polish and it's one coater! I did my both hands in few minutes what made me even more happy! :e I can work on my manicure for hours but sometimes I just don't have patience so onecoaters always make me happy.

Sun - Blurry

Nail Tek - Foundation 2
Color Club - Wild at Heart / 1 coat

I fell in love with this polish - again and I'm so happy I own it! <3 What do you think? Do you have it? :)

I know Maria loves Carmelo aka Bebo so I decided to include a photo of him I took yesterday. :) It's so sunny here so he's spending a lot of time outside on our balcony playing, catching bees, ants,... Well everything that moves around.

Hope you're having a great weekend dear readers and followers and thanks for reading! This is my 401st post I published on this blog, I can't believe this! :o Time flies by just too fast and I should post more often. We'll see, as always I'll do my best. :)

Holiday Guest Post #13: The Polished Perfectionist

Another holiday guest post, maybe the holidays are really gone but I don't want to change the name of this guest post set, and we have an Orthodox New Year's Eve on Friday too. :P

I'm so excited to have AmyGrace from The Polished Perfectionist here. :$ She's probably my role model! When I "grow up" I want to have nails like she has with such a perfect application, pictures and everything. I can stalk her blog all the time, because she's just amazing. <3
Let's see what she has prepared for us today. <3

Hi everyone!

I'm really excited; being asked by Ivana to make a guest post for her wonderful blog is just.. wow. I love her nails and she's so sweet, but of course you already know that. It feels good to help a sweet blogging friend out! Ivana, thanks for the opportunity! I hope your hand recovers quickly so we can see your beautiful nails again. ♥

No pink on my nails, but I hope you guys can appreciate my purple mani. ^^ I started with applying two coats of Diamond Cosmetics - Crushed Velvet. This purple is so lovely I almost felt guilty for adding something to it, but I had to make my nails look a bit more special for this special post. I decided to sponge the tips of my nails with Fowl Play from Orly. Fowl Play is a masterpiece, look at all those awesome glitter bits and flakes (noticed the big one in the letter O?)! I was curious how my nails would look matte, so later I applied one coat of matte top coat. I like both looks, what do you think?

Thanks for watching!

I'm in loooooove, that's why I made this pictures so big! <3 Everything is just perfect on this manicure. :L I never thought of using a flakie for sponging but now I definitely need to try this out! I love both but shiny version just a little more. AmyGrace thank you for sending me this amazing manicure, I'm really honoured to have you here. :h

I'm sure you all know AmyGrace, but just in case you still don't follow her blog The Polished Perfectionist, you should and I promise you, you'll be obssesed with her :P

Do you like both versions? :L

Thanks for reading! :rainbow

Have a lovely day,

Merry Midnight dear True Love

Today's the perfect day to show you this manicure. <3 I already posted True Love but here's my upgrade. I wanted Merry Midnight for ages and I'm so happy I own it now, thank you

Merry Midnight is part of OPI's Holiday Wishes collection from Winter/Holiday 2009. It's a deep plum base with blue glitter and opal flakies. It's more on a sheer side so it was a perfect time to layer it over another plum color. <3 There's nothing more to say... Love at first sight! :)

All pictures were taken under daylight bulb and black background.

Essence - True Love / 2 coats
OPI - Merry Midnight / 2 coats

I could post so many pictures of it but I decided to pick just 2. I just love this combination! What about you? Do you have MM? If not, you can still grab Orly - Fowl Play when it's still available, because MM can be really hard to find or very expensive though. :/

 It's D.'s birthday today, so Happy Birthday my dear! <3 u! :k

I picked the perfect combination for his birthday, don't you think? :$

Essence TE Vampire's Love True Love & Bloody Mary Blush Gelee

It's finally here. :e I'm talking about Vampire's Love Trend Edition from Essence. I found the full display in DM and thanks to my mom, I bought 2 things I wanted. Being broke on December is worst case scenario if you ask me and it's not going to be better until January. :/ Oh well. xo

All the pictures below were taken under daylight bulb and black background. I have no idea why my hands look so smooth but I didn't do anything to the pictures to remove the noise. xo

Vampire's Love has 5 nail polishes but only one caught my eye. Here's what I picked. :e
Nail Polish in True Love, Blush Gelee in Bloody Mary
I'm a big fan of blushes so I decided to give it a try. Blush Gelee is available in one color called 01 Bloody Mary. I have powder blushes, cream blushes, liquid blushes so the gelee was something new to me. Blush has lovely jelly texture and it comes in a bottle with a pump. Once you pump it out of the bottle, looks so dark jelly red, but it's very pigmented so you don't need a lot for your cheeks. :$ I use my Essence's blush brush to blend it on my cheeks, that's how I avoid having stained fingers, becuase it stains so badly, which means it's very long lasting. And that's what I love most about this blush. <3 I can apply it in the morning and it'll last on me until I wash off my MU, great, right?

When I wanted to remove it, I tried to smudge it with my fingers and tissue paper. This is how it looks like after.

It won't go away. :) After whole night and day I still had stained skin on my arm, so yes, this blush is long lasting for sure. :e You get 13 ml (0.43 fl.oz) of blush for 3,29 €, I think that's a nice deal. :)

Next thing I wanted the most was a nail polish in color True Love. It has a lovely name and it's an awesome shimmery plum color. I'm not a big fan of dark colors but this one just caught my eye, it's a perfect color for fall in my opinion so I decided to wear it now before the winter starts. :D

Application was great, I applied 2 coats for full opacity. The main problem I had with this polish is the brush. I already got so many wonky brushes from Essence and I always forget to check the brush before buying it. But from now on, I surely will. :D I love how his polish can look so boring and dark without light but it just pops out when the light hits it. <3

 Essence - True Love / 2 coats

Gorgeous! :L You get 10 ml of this beauty for 1,79 € (0.33 fl.oz), that's another great deal. :e

What do you think about this collection? Did you buy anything? Have you ever tried blush gelee? Do you like True Love? :)
Have a nice beggining of the week. :rainbow

Planks a Lot with Wild at Heart & Violet Orchid Microglitter

I got tipwear quite soon with Planks a Lot so I just had to do something to cover it. I wasn't in the mood for removing whole manicure, so I decided to do some sponged tips. If you're looking for a tutorial, I recommend you to visit The Polished Perfectionst and her great How To: Sponged Tips Tutorial. <3

I took Color Club - Wild at Heart and sponged it on nail tip going toward the cuticle and Kiko - #278 known as Violet Orchid Microglitter (violet foil glitter with a tiny duochrome effect) mostly on the tip of my nail. It's lighter as Wild at Heart so it gives it an extra sparkle, which was imposible to capture on the photo.

What do you think? Do you like these kind of manicures? I really like them and they're also great for hiding tipwear so you don't have to remove your manicure few more days. :)

I just couldn't stand my pointer being more oval as others so I shorten them today. Although it wasn't so obvious but my eyes always noticed it. :/

I hope you're having a great and relaxing weekend! It's so cold here so I stayed in bed for whole day yesterday and today - perfect weather for being lazy! :P

Holo Funky French

Wooooooooohoooo, we've reached 800 followers. :party Thank you! <3 Seeing the number rising is just amazing feeling. :$ I never expected to have so many followers so this is really a happy day. :D

I wanted to post this yesterday, but I change my mind, because after watching US Open finals with Đoković vs. Nadal, I's sooo sleepy. Seriously, they have played for more than 4 hours and I's already tired of watching them but they didn't seem to be tired at all. o_O Champs! 8) Congrats to Đoković for another great win! :star

Anyway, I had some bad pictures on the sun yesterday, because it's cloudy most of the day. When I saw sun I run out to capture some pictures, but they weren't that great as I wanted. So I took them today again. :L How bad would it be if I couldn't take pictures of this mani on the sun? Holos aren't that special on daylight as on sun. :/

I decided to make Funky French again to make my holo mani more complete. I probably don't have to say what I used for tips, right? :)

IDK - LOL - QT - 2NITE

Probably you all know where all these words come from, right? :D Yap, the one and only China Glaze's OMG collection from Spring 2008. I just needed them in my life and because they became so hard to get, I'm even happier to have at least these. Thanks to all sweet ladies who helped me to get them! :k

Weather'll probably get worse from now on, so I put these yesterday to enjoy some linear holographic effect on the sun. :rainbow

I only have 4 of them and I still want BFF though, but it became so VHTF. :/ Better something than nothing. I won't even start complaining that I don't own any from Kaleidoscope! :c

China Glaze
QT
IDK
LOL
2NITE

I made skittles just to see all their beauty on my nails. :) I apply them without base coat because last time I applied LOL over a Nail Tek Foundation II, its application was streaky. All were applied in 2 coats, no TC, fast drying time... And a lovely linear holographic effect. <3

Please excuse my pointer, it's just so curly. xo

2NITE looks like it has the strongest linear effect from these I have. :L I can't pick my favorite because I love all of them. <3 They're just too beautiful to pick only one, I love watching the rainbow on sun. :rainbow

Which one is your favorite from OMG collection? Do you have all of them?

China Glaze - LOL

I've finally some time for blogging. :) I'm quite busy with my thesis, which should be finally finished next week, at least I hope so. xo
Anyway, we have an awesome heat wave here so the temperatures are really high, it's really hooooooooot! :) But I like it, summer is my favorite season and I's really missing hot weather. :$ I wore GitA for few days but after day spent on pool, it peeled off, so I had to change it the next day. I didn't know what to wear next, so I asked on twitter and Nihrida suggested me this beauty and I'm glad she did. :)

LOL is a part of China Glaze's OMG! Spring 2008 collection. Probably the most interesting collection from ChG. I totally missed it, so when I got QT and IDK, I wanted more but how to find them if they're so HTF. :( I found this one at forum sale by decent price so I just had to buy it. I'm still missing BFF (the pink version) but it became a VVVHTF. :c Is here anyone who found few bottles at dusties and have an extra bottle for me? :$

LOL is a dark violet linear holo. :L I'd suggest applying it on naked nails, because I had some troubles with application after applying 1 coat of BC. I added 2 coats.

I won't talk much about it, so here're the pictures. :L

Sun
Daylight
Nail Tek - Foundation II / 1 coat
 China Glaze - LOL / 2 coats

Amaaaaaaaaazing, right? :L I want more holos like this! And BFF! xo

As you can see, my nails are shorter. :D Last week I went to Čatež - thermal water park with Veri and her family. It was soooooooooooooo great. :e There's a lot of pools and what's the most interesting for me - slides and toboggans!! Of course me and Veri spent our whole day on them. I was so careful to not break my nails but that wasn't enough because others weren't.So after a tiny accident on slides, my nail was sligthly broken so I filled them down a bit. :D
We were so busy so I didn't have time to take more pictures. Here're some of them. :)

Pirate's island is for children but of course we couldn't miss it. That pirate's head on the top is filled with water and pours it on kids, what a nice feeling when you stand under. :D

Toboggan Triplet! :e

And more and more but unfortunately no pics. :(

Do you like slides and toboggans? Or you're just chilling by the pool? :) I love both but I just can't lay by the pool when there's so much fun around me. :e

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Nicole by OPI - One Less Lonely Glitter

Here I am again, posting something new. :D I just finished watching El Clásico, seriously Real Madrid played so great today. I's really hoping we'll win because their game was amazing. :e I'm sorry because I spammed some of you with my tweets but watching El Clásico is sooooooooooooo stressfull for me. xo Wishing best of luck to Real Madrid on next match! Hala Madrid! :L

I've a glittery beauty for you today. You probably all know that Justin Bieber released his own nail polish collections. I really like Justin, he's so young and he really achieved a lot in his life just with his talent. I've a tiny Bieber fever lately, but not in a worst way though, I'd have a little brother like him. :D It's funny to see all those little girls all in love with Justin. When I was young, we're in love with Backstreet Boys, Caught in the Act, Kelly Family, Spice Girls etc. xP What was your childhood crush? :D

Anyway, I wanted One Less Lonely Glitter from the moment I saw it and Karen was kind enough to send me one bottle of this beauty. I never tried Nicole by OPI polish before so I didn't know what to expect. I really don't like their bottle shape, it's so weird and really hard to hold it in my hand while taking pictures. When I saw its brush, I's like, OH NO! It's very similar to Sally Hansen Broken Treasure, which I totally hate so I didn't expect much. But when I tried it, it fits perfectly to my nails and cuticle line, no clean up needed. Maybe because it's glitter and you don't have to be careful as much as with cremes or similar, but I loved it. :D

One Less Lonely Glitter is a violet mixed small and larger circle glitter. The color of glitter is same as Tru Passion from Color Club although my father said that OLLG is a tad darker but I really couldn't see the difference. :D But the glitter is same as in Bubbly Bombshell from Orly, just the color isn't same obviously.

I added 3 coats, no TC, although the surface is gritty so I'll probably add a TC tommorow. Like I said, application is great, it dries fast, the brush is really perfect for me, I love it! :L

Daylight
Sun
It's so shinny too! This picture below isn't color accurate because sun has warmed this violet color, but you can see how blingy it is. :L

Blurry - Sun
Here's a quick bottle comparison.
Nicole by OPI - One Less Lonely Girl vs. Color Club - Tru Passion
Nicole by OPI wasn't sold in Slovenia before but now Müller have them, so if any of you still want them, be sure you'll check Müller. I think they cost around 10€. I don't know if they're already sold out, but you can still take a look and maybe you'll find something you like.

What do you think about Bieber's collection? Do you like them? Or do you hate JB? :P

I guess this polish was names after this song from JB - One Less Lonely Girl. :$

Enjoy! :P

My window is open all the time at night (that's how I get grasshoppers in my room! xo :c ) and it's already 1 AM and my neighbour always watch TV so loudly. I think she usually fall asleep because I can hear her TV even at 5 AM sometimes. :D She's just funny. :D

Nighty night,

Teeez! - Smooth & Outta Control

I got Teeez! polishes a while ago from lovely Martje (oh I really want to eat that cake, yum! xP ) and I didn't have time to try them till yesterday. Every time I see name Teeez! it makes me scream like Teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez. :O Weirdo. :i
I didn't know how to try all 3 of them that would look great too, so I used just 2 for now. :D Outta control is a violet one and Smooth the pink one. Their application is really smooth, I added 2 coats, it dries fast. It looked so boring when I painted these two so I freehanded funky french and made it little bit more interesting and a layer of TC to smooth the lines. Holographic effect definitely is there, less on pictures but more in person.

I couldn't pick just 2 pictures so here's a tiny picture spam. :)

More after a click. :)

Broken Hearted, Crushed Candy and Virtual Violet

I have another crackle manicure for you today. :) I started using them more often - because they look like they'll become too thick to apply in the bottle and because I can easily hide a tip wear. :)

Virtual Violet didn't last long on me, I think I had chips and very visible tip wear the other day so I decided to add some crackles. :D I used Schotch tape to make those straight lines - Broken Hearted is on my ring finger and Crushed Candy on others. :) I accidentaly put Broken Hearted on the opposite side of my nail, but I must say I liked it even more because of that. :$

I really loved this combination! :L On the fist picture below you can even see some holographic glitter. :D

Sun
Daylight
That's how I's wearing it for few days more. :) I don't know why, but I can't prepare myself to change my mani every other day like I used to. :D I wore my manicures for whole week or even more past 2 months so I'm still not used to change my mani if it's still perfect. :i So if I don't post every other day, you know what's the problem. :P

What do you think about this manicure? Do you like crackles? Or not? :)

Have fun,
Ivana :k

China Glaze - Virtual Violet

My nails are naked at the moment, I wanted to swatch some polishes today but the weather isn't great, I'm still tired so I'll probably do something with my nails tommorow. :D Today I wake up with a puffy eye, weird and funny feeling when you can't open your eye properly. :brow But it's better now. :D

Let's start with another beauty, which I wore a month ago. :) Virtual Violet is a part of China Glaze's Tronica collection. Thanks to blondie711 I got my hands on them, but I'm still missing Electra Magenta (if anyone has an extra bottle and you don't need it, please lmk! :$ ). I had really big hopes for Tronica but when I saw first swatches I's totally dissapointed because I wanted them to be like OMG. But after seeing a million of beautiful pictures, I knew I had to have some of them. If I don't have LOL & BFF from OMG, at least I can try to get some of these. :P But China Glaze, make more holos like OMG or even bring Kaleidoscopes back! I don't have any of them. :c

Virtual Violet is a dark violet with scattered holo glitter, color is same as LOL just finish is different. :) I added 2 coats, application is amazing, if you're careful, you can get away with only 1 coat. :) But this beauty didn't last long, next day I had visible tipwear which bothered me so much so I had to upgrade it a little but I'll show you pictures of my upgrade next time. :)

It's not super holo but still beautiful and much prettier in RL as on pictures. :L

Sun
I'm happy to have it! :L

What do you think about Tronica collection? Were you dissapointed? Or do you love it? Which collection'd you like to be brought back - OMG or Kaleidoscope? :) My answer is: BOTH, PLEASE. :L

XOXO,
Ivana :k
