Holiday Guest Post #8: Nothing Personail

Thank you so much for your lovely wishes. :party I had a great day and more to come on New Year's eve. :P I'm okay but my hand isn't, stitches were removed but my wound is still fresh and weird. :/ I hope it heals fast but what I already know that scar will be so gross. :/

We're having Abby from Nothing Personail here. <3 She's one of my favorite bloggers for sure. :) I won't even mention her long nail beds! :o Seriously, her nail beds are to die for so be sure you check her blog. Or you're missing stunning nails! ;)

Hi guys! I am so excited to write this post! Ivana was my first follower (of course, she cheated because I'd been talking to her on the comments of one of her posts before I started blogging and gave her my link the moment it was ready ;) ) so writing this post means I've come full circle!

Ivana and I are always talking about random things, especially football. It's only unfortunate that her team (Real Madrid) is my team's (Barcelona) main rival. I like RM too but Barça has my heart (:  It's nice to have someone to talk about football with, especially during El Clásico :D

Anyway, as cliché as it sounds, I knew I had to do something pink for her. I'm not a huge fan of pink (sorry, Ivana), but I do keep a couple of pinks stashed for emergencies. Haha. Just like Marta, I decided to go for pink and Christmas. Or holidays, if you don't celebrate Christmas (:

I used 2 coats of Color Club Magic Attraction and 2 coats of Boots 17 Milan for my accent nails. I then painted a snowflake on my left accent nail and a candy cane on my right accent nail using an old Sally Hansen French Manicure white (or tried to anyway). The red on the candy cane is Zoya Sooki. Mmmm look at all the holo glittery goodness :D

I hope you liked it! I got so many compliments on this manicure, people just love Magic Attraction! I wonder why ;)

Broken Hearted Nova

Woohoo, my last exam was today! I was soooo in a bad mood today, like really really bad - although I passed 2 exams and I got a great mark of my term paper, I's so without energy today... It's even more dissapointing because I might fail at my last exam but okay... We'll see, I hope this bad feeling'll go away... Now I'm patiently waiting for results of 2 exams... I think it will take a while because one professor is somewhere on the other side of this world and one always takes his time for checking them... xo

And the day was even worse, when I went from home to capital, it started raining like craaaaaaazy, when something goes wrong, everything everything goes. :D I's wet, cold,... :ice xo But I survived. :D

I didn't change my mani for almost half and a week now and Catherine Arley 670 still looks "perfect" - there is tipwear of course which is almost invisible because polish is so light, just my nails has grown so I can see that not so tiny gap between cuticles and polish. :D But I'm removing it tommorow. :e

So for today I decided to show you my ooold mani, I took this pictures on 18th May, so yeah, OLD. :D I already showed you Nova, I added a coat of China Glaze's Broken Hearted when she started chipping after few days. I really love crackles, because I can easily hide chips and I can totally wear my mani few days more. :)

Zoya - Nova

Good morning. :) Well for me is still morning, I just wake up, I'm still sleepy, weather is soooo perfect for sleeping. :i I need to start studying but here I am, typing new posts, one I already scheduled for tommorow but I decided to write another one. :P 

Zoya - Nova is described as "Medium royal fuchsia-purple tinted translucent base packed with dark and light pink glitter. A stunning, sparkling shade that's sure to turn heads all winter." Application is great, 2 coats, dries fast and looks gorgeous. :) I had shorter nails when I wore it so if you have longer nails, I think you should need 3 coats to hide VNL.

OPI - Bubble Bath & Haul

After wearing that hot Fancy Fuchsia pink color I decided to pick something subtle and Bubble Bath just pumped out of my stash. :)

I love how these kind of colors looks on my short nails that why I'm sure I'll have this manicure as long as it stays on perfectlly or at least till Friday. :)

Color is so pretty, milky, very soft and light pink creme but opacity isn't its best thing. I added 5 coats, yes, five. :i I was patient because I really love these kind of colors and it dries quickly too but for sure I added 1 coat of Essie - Good To Go. :D

Does anyone know similar shade but more opaque? :)

When I got Bubble Bath from Carolina I compared the bottle with OPI - Sweet Heart and they look quite similar but after seeing pictures, Sweet Heart is definetely more opaque and more towards pastel pink. :) I love both of them so it's totally worth to put 5 coats to get this look. :D

I bought some polishes today for myself because Essence Blossoms etc. finally hit our stores (DM). We had sould out Black&White collection since January there so I'm so happy they finally change it. And I bought Nova from Nina. Thanks! :h

They put this new collection today! and when I checked the store at 4PM it was mostly sold out! :( I wanted to buy that ring, liquid blush and more polishes for my swaps but I guess I's late. I hope I'll find more next week. And I'm still wondering why our DM still doesn't have anything from new stuff which Essence released in March... It'll be almost May here and still nothing! What are you waiting for? xo

I hope your Monday is better than mine, I'm going to eat something, watch new episode of Desperate Housewives and go earlier in bed... I still hate mornings, can't wait Friday. :i

Zoya - Mimi

I'm wondering why I didn't try Mimi before? :L I should! Another beauty which I got from Carolina! :h

Descripction from Zoya official site says: "Royal purple sparkling metallic. An expensive-looking metallic shade for spring." Mimi is from Zoyas Sparkle collection. :)

Grape pop jelly base with purple shimmer, which is kind of duochrome (see the bottle and the first picture). :) I added 2 coats for perfect opacity. I thought she'll need more layers because after one was very sheer but second coat make her perfect. I always call Zoya's polishes with "she" because they've so pretty names and I really can't say "it". :$

I was taking pictures outside on a cloudy weather and wishing for some sun and after few minutes the sun started shinning. :D Mimi is really hard to capture, I took like million pictures and on the sun she always looks blue but she's not. :i But let's say I managed to capture her real color, she is warm purple for sure.

My Top 10 Favorite Nail Polishes 2010 Part II.

I'm still wearing Roxy and because I really can't start learning I decided to finally write this post. Here is my last 5 of top 10 nail polishes for this year (click to see part I). I tried to pick polishes from different brands...

Catrice - Sweets for my Sweets

Are you looking for a bubblegum pink? This one is perfect... Sweets for my Sweets. I have few polishes from Catrice but this one I really like the most. You still have to add 3 coats but the result is just so sweet and with fast drying top coat even 3 or more coats aren't the problem anymore!

Claire's Mood Color Changing Nail Polish - Calm/Wild

I never expected that color changing polishes even exist and sometimes when I'm talking to friends that are not so much into a nail stuff, don't believe me. I have 2 of them, want some more, but I like this one most for now. The best discover of this year for sure! Calm/Wild comes in purple/pink combination, perfect match! Application is easy, brush is great, color gorgeous... I love having them on nails and playing with water - that's just fun!

Wild at Heart is the best purple holo ever + one coater! Wow, wow and once again - wow! I just love it! Perfect for manis, for stamping, for everything. You just must have it in your stash! Can't wait for sunny days to see its holo effect! We want more polishes like this one for sure!

Essence - Joe
LE Be a Nail Artist, Spring 2010

Joe was released came his twin Victory, but I picked just this one and I'm so happy I did. I still remember how I went to our store to pick something else and there was a full shelve of this LE so I picked all I wanted although I was broke. But it was worth it, I would regret if I would miss this beauty. It's a perfect warm lilac shade with a touch of pink, really special!

Zoya - Roxy

I didn't think I'll put Roxy till yesterday. A purple jelly base with magenta glitter. Amazing! Application is great, it dries fast, you just have to add TC to smooth the surface. Like a jam, so yummmi!

Pink, purples, glitters - . If I had to pick just one, I would pick Extravagance. Which one is your favorite?

Zoya - Roxy

Description from Zoya's official site says everything:

"Zoya Nail Polish in Roxy can be best described as: A sheer red-toned purple base loaded with bright purple glitter. A must-have shade for any rock star or glamour girl."

It looks like a raspberry jam! So yummmmi! I saw many swatches of this beauty but in RL is even prettier! A must-have!

I add 2 coats, application was great, I really like the brush. You have to add TC if you want the surface to be smooth. First picture was without TC and others with.

These are just stunning. Now I have a new bottle of Suede and I won't spare it, I'll use it more often so it won't have time to get thick. Roxy is just stunning, I wanted it so badly after seeing so many beautiful swatches but when I saw it in RL I was blown away. Believe me, Roxy is even prettier!! And two glitters, OPI Show it and Glow it from Burlesque collection and quite similar glitter Wet n Wild Glitz. YAY!

December is here and soon my exams'll start... I'll take a break from blogging. Well, I won't post so much as now, because I have to study A LOT! I must pass at least 5/7 exams. I was lazy as hell last year so I'll have to study hard now! Of course I'm not giving up from polishing my nails, but I'll have my manicures as long they last! Yay! A few minutes ago I also broke my nail so... I'll be wearing some subtle colors for a week or two...

I just got one package from colorful bottle and I found so many new goodies to try out, I'll show them soon!
