Gold Knockout Pout

My nails were naked for a whole week, because I wasn't really sure what to wear. But few days ago I finally decided. It was time for Essie's Knockout Pout. It's part of Essie's Summer 2010 collection.

Really lovely pink with peach undertones and it has a satin finish when it dries, so it's probably a neon? :) The formula is a bit thick, but you can easily get away with 2 or 3 coats. I'm not really a fan of Essie's brush, I prefer big flat brush over Essie's. It's a bit hard to capture on photo, but it's such a lovely shade in person - sometimes more peach and sometimes more pink. :)

Then I added a coat of Essence's Make it Golden on half on my nails and over also Milani Jewel FX - Gold. Make it Golden is going to be discontinued this fall, so be sure you'll grab it before that, I need a back-up of this gorgeous polish. :L

Holiday Guest Post #14: Nails and Noms

What do you do when you can't sleep? I'm typing this post together and listening to the music. :e

Woooohoo! Blogger finally changed comment section and now you can answer on invidual comments without writing all your replies in one comment. Great job! :e In case you don't have it - check Blogger Buzz for details! I always wanted my comments to be like this but I didn't want to install Disqus or others, because I hate that profile pictures aren't visible. I remember pictures more than text so that was a big no for me. I had some problems with smileys in comments but now they'd be visible. :) I still don't know why the hour of comments isn't right and it looks like I'm not the only one with that "problem". Anyone already found out how to set it? Or it's just a bug for now? :P

Okay, we're having Rie from Nails and Noms here. :e Rie is having amazing blog with even more amazing macro pictures of her manicures. I just love them, because you can see all the details in polish she posted. <3 Here's what she had prepared for us. :e

Morning Everyone!

The lovely Ivana asked me if I could do a guest post for her while her hand healed from surgery, and I said yes of course! I had all sorts of amazing ideas for the holiday season to do some themed manis. Then life happened and the holidays came and went. :( Not deterred, I decided to play around with two shimmery polishes I recently acquired with the help of my Red Angel stamping plates. No holiday theme this time around, but it still turned out pretty neat! ^_^

Pure Ice Twinkle & OPI Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous w/ Red Angel RA-112 Stamp
Pure Ice Twinkle & OPI Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous w/ Red Angel RA-112 Stamp

For my base polish I used 2 coats of Pure Ice Twinkle, a gorgeous peach coral with golden shimmer. Then I used my Red Angel RA-112 stamp with OPI Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous, a gun-metal grey metallic. I really like the way this turned out, I hope you do too! You can enlarge the photos to their original size you can really get a good look at the shimmer in both polishes. :-)

That's all I've got for today, I'd like to thank Ivana for letting me pop in for a guest post and I hope you all enjoyed it! ^_^

I can't wait to get RA plates in my hands! This is so lovely pattern and I love how subtle but pretty this manicure looks! <3 Thanks Rie for sharing your manicure with all of us. <3 Please check Rie's blog Nails and Noms to see all her beautiful manicures and show some love, you won't be sorry because her blog is amazing, I promise. :D

Do you already own RA plates? Do you like this lovely combo? :)

I think I'm going to watch a movie or something and fall asleep pretty soon. Bebo is sleeping under my bed but everytime he hears that I eat something he get up quickly and check what I'm eating. Like he've never eaten before. xD

Thanks for reading!

Nighty night,

Essence - You're my Dragonfly, Sugar!

The weekend is almost gone and I'd love to have a few days more just for sleeping and resting. :/ Oh well, I can't wait another Friday to be here. :e

It's NATventURista Time. :D When I saw swatches of this whole collection, I decided that I don't need anything. But when you find an untouched rack, which usually never happen, I decided to buy at least something. :D

You're my Dragonfly, Sugar! is a peachy nude with tiny silver glass flecked glitter. It's more on a sheer side so I had to add 3 coats for a full opacity. Well, I love the final result. <3 I just didn't like the brush, I went to find more pics about this polish and I stumbled upon this post at Mai senza smalto! and her brush was wonky as mine. I usually don't open any bottles in store but from now on, I definitely will especially when I'm buying Essence, because this was not the first wonky brush I got from them. :) On warm daylight look more peachy as on cold daylight as you can see on the 2nd photo.

Here's a bottle detail. <3 First I though that this shimmer won't be visible on nail but it is. :) I also love the cap detail, so cute. :)

This is my favorite polish from NATventURista Trend Edition. What do you think? Do you like it? I wanted to stamp it but my base coat wasn't cooperating with this beautie so after 2 days I peeled it off and my nails are still naked. :D As you can see, they're short too, I broke a middle finger while sleeping so I decided to shorten them a bit. But they're growing back, yay. :e

Orly - Cotton Candy + Konad

Hi dear readers or should I say good evening? fikir It's 4PM and outside is darkness. I fall asleep at 7AM because I'm having insomnia again, but I could see it was still dark in the morning. Even a day isn't so bright as usual. It's so depressed.merajuk

I already told you I added some stamping to Cotton Candy. I used M73 and one of my favorite pattern with China Glaze - QT - pink holo which is great for stamping. I had some problems with transfering the pattern on my nails - I think I totally forgot how to stamp my nails. So the result isn't perfect - I can do it better.malu

Orly - Cotton Candy

I'm tired of this dark weather around, christmas, winter manicures and so on, so I had to pick something bright and perfect for spring.

I'm sure you already saw it like a million times but it's worth to see it once again. Orly Sweet collection from Spring 2010 released so many beautiful pastels and I got all 3 I wanted so badly. Lollipop & Pixy Stix I got in my first swap with Carolina and this beauty was in my latest swap with her. She gave me her bottle and thank you Carolina again for that!peluk

Cotton Candy is a pastel peachy pink creme polish. I added 3 coats, because I think it's still streaky after 2, but it's worth it. I added 1 coat of TC that I got also in my swap with Carolina - that big botte of Beauty Secrets TC. It's not fast like Seche Vite or Good To Go, but I usually use it when I have more time for my manicure.

Pictures are little grainy, so sorry for that.adus

Color is maybe a little bit more peachy in real but so beautiful. What do you think about this one? Do you have any from Sweet collection?

Essence LE Fairytale Haul

Let it snow, let is snow, let is snow... NOT.nangih

Yesterday was snowing again and it was really beautiful seeing it through the window until today, because I had to check my local DM if new TE Fairytale from Essence is available. It's so cold outside and everything is wet... Hate it! It looks like this... tension

At least I got 3 polishes that I want from this new TE. I wanted just 2 but then I bought one more.

Once Upon a Time
Pixie Dust
Tinka's Dress

I also wanted to pick Fairy Berry but when I saw comparison with Bubble bubble at Nail Junkie, where you can also see beautiful swatches of this collection, I knew I don't need another one so similar.

These bottles are just so cute, do you agree?

China Glaze - Peachy Keen

I have another beauty from China Glaze Up & Away c0llection - Peachy keen which I get from lovely Carolina. menari

It's a bright peachy with a little orange color in it. It's so bright and beautiful creme nail polish. I'm sure I'll use it for fall and winter to colorize my life. I realy like having a bright nails because then I feel better. I never match my outfits and nails, just in special occasions or something like that, but usually I pick a color which I really want to have or like or love. Do you match your nails with your outfits all the time?

I add 2 coats and Seche Vite TC.love Picture was taken outside on a cloudy day.

What do you think? Like it? I just purcase M79 Konad Image Plate. Wohoo, soon I will make a polka dot manicure. sengihnampakgigi

I want to share with you my cocoa with a heart! Do you like drinking cocoa? Or do you drink just coffee? I really don't drink coffee, cappucinoo,... just cocoa with a lot of sugar! Yummmmi!malu

Have a nice day!
