Bright Pinks

Did you notice anything new? Yes? No? :D I changed a header and the background in case you didn't guess. I wanted something pink and cute and I like it but I'd love to hear your opinion too! :$

Bright pinks make me feel so good so I love to wear them especially when I feel my nails need to be "noticed". :) So I wore 3 different bright pinks this past week. The only problem is taking pics of them. My phone refuses to take color accurate pictures of some bright pinks so I wasn't really sure if I should post them. But here they are anyway, if I already took them. :)

First was Golden Rose (with protein nail lacquer) in #324. It's bright pink with very watery formula, so I needed 3 thick coats to get a decent opacity, VNL was still there it didn't bother me so much. :) I got this polish from Veri (she bought it in Bosnia), thank you sis. :h Because I had 3 thick coats on I decided to add a coat of G2G to speed up the drying process.

Then I wasn't really sure what should be next, so I choose the polish I usually pick when I really don't know what to do with my nails. It's my all time favorite bright pink from Orly called Fancy Fuchsia from their Precious Spring 2011 collection. I love everything about this polish. :L I already wore it so many times and I'm happy I have a back up, because I'll definitely need one. It has my name on it. <3 Formula is more on a thick side but nothing you can't work with. 2 coats and you're done. It's so bright and so pink, it's so me! :)

And today I got another bright super pretty pink from Tinchi - Ruby Kisses - Sweet Thing .She said she couldn't use it because it stinks so much and I just have to agree with her. It really stinks! :~ I checked the ingredients but it's formaldehyde, toluene and DBP free, so I'm not sure why it stinks so much. :/ Anyway, thick formula, 2 coats and it looks great. :D 

This one was hard to capture, it's really light highlighter neon pink in person, nothing orange-y like on the pictures below. :D

That's it! :D Three bright pinks that I love so much! I'm just not happy with my cuticles and nails atm, they're at that lenght that I really don't like them - I prefer them a bit shorter or a bit longer. xD Oh well... I can complain about everything - never happy! :D

Do you like wearing bright pink? Or are they a bit out of your comfort zone? What's your favorite pink? If I had to choose only one, that'd be Fancy Fuchsia and I think every pink addict should own a bottle! :)

Halloween Manicure & Review

Long time no see, right? :P Being busy and lazy are the reasons for being away for almost a whole week. :$ I didn't expect I'll do a manicure for Halloween because we don't celebrate Halloween like some of you, but it's becoming more and more popular. 

I got a chance to test out another product from Born Pretty Store. I saw a lot of amazing manicures made with Acrylic Color, that's why I always wanted to try it out. 

Here's what I came up with for Halloween, but please keep in mind that I'm not good with free hand designs and this manicure obviously isn't perfect like I'd want it to be. :D

Huh lots of information. xD I was trying to find same set I got from Born Pretty, but I can't find it right now, but I think this one looks pretty similar. I got 12 tubes of 9 ml Acrylic color, 2 palletes for mixing the colors and 2 thin nail art brushes.

 

I really like this set, because you really get all you need for painting your nails. Acrylic color is really easy to work with and very pigmented so you don't need to paint twice or even more for fully opaque designs. I mix them with water to get that smooth formula. All you need is steady hand and lots of imagination for designs, just be creative! You get a whole set for around $10 but youcan also use code IRJ61 for 10% off on your order. ;)

Holo Glitter Goddess!

I was too lazy to post aynthing this weekend. :$ On Friday I got results from the last exam and I passed it! With even better grade I expected! So I passed ALL exams I had. :e I just started typing my thesis because I have a month to complete it and we'll see if I'll graduate till September. :) Thanks for all your kind words and support! :h I think I found a perfect reward for myself and if everything goes like I planned, you'll see it soon! :)

I spent my whole weekend on pool with friends, got tanned and a tiny sunburn on my back, but I had a great time. :) I wore 108 Degrees till Saturday, which started chipping because of water so I decided to put something really shiny on my nails. :D

I got this polish from my lil' sister Veri a while ago but I didn't use it till yesterday. Golden Rose Nail Art #112 is a nail art polish full of holographic glitter in clear base. Its brush is tiny but it wasn't hard to apply polish all over the nail. Surface is gritty after a coat of this pretty polish so I added a coat of TC to smooth it.
Because it's quite sheer first I added 2 coats of China Glaze - Cheers to you, a silver foil polish, which I got from Biba. :h

You can't see its beauty in shade or daylight, but you'll be blown away how sparkly can be this pretty on sun! :)

Then I had so many problems to catch its beauty on sun. xo Holographic glitter didn't show up on picture at all, but I could easily see it with my eyes. This is the best I'd capture. :)

See what I'm talking about? :L I feel sooo good with a great polish like this on my nails. 8) I think Essence - Hello Holo is same like this Golden Rose, so if you love holographic glitter, then you need it! :)

It just starts raining and I'm ready for a nap - there isn't better thing than sleeping in the summer afternoon when it's raining outside. :angel

Hello Kitty Manicure

I've recevied Hello Kitty image plate a while ago from BornPrettyStore. I decided to add Hello Kitty to Golden Rose Chamelleon Effect 28. :P

I've got image plate M71 with HK design and stamper with scraper.

Don't forget to pill down the tiny film over the plate, it's really even hard to see it.

I've only Essence Stamper and Scraper so I compared them together.

They're both same sizes, but the Essence stamper is smoother than BornPretty's that's why I found stamper from BP better, it picks up the pattern easier than Essence's.
I don't use a scraper because it scratches my image plates, so I'm using one old credit card, it works perfectly. :)

First I added HK on my ring finger and than dots on others, but it somehow didn't match together, so I added black funky french inspired by amazing Erika from Chloe's Nails. She's really making magic with scotch tape. :L

Golden Rose [Chameleon Effect] - 28

I got another polish from slovenian online store Lakizanohte.si. I really couldn't decide which one to pick soI left this decision to Tamara and I got this beauty - Chameleon Effect 28. She just couldn't miss with the pink polish.

Ta teden me je doma pričakal nov lak iz spletne trgovine Lakizanohte.si. Tokrat je to lak znamke Golden Rose, ki so jih pred kratkim začeli prodajati v njihovi spletni trgovini. Ker se nikakor nisem mogla odločiti za en odtenek, sem prepustila izbiro kar Tamari. In res ni zgrešila z izbiro odtenka.

It looked a little bit sheer so I decided to try layering with this beauty too. How would I describe this color? Mauve pink with lots of pink shimmer? I'm really not good with describing colors so I'll let the pictures speak for itself.

Ker se mi je zdel malce prosojen, sem se odločila, da ga uporabim samostojno in tudi kot plastenje. Hm.... Kako bi opisala tale odtenek? Mauve roza z veliko roza šimra? No ja, naj slike govorijo kar same zase.

Na kazalcu je nanešen Essence - Go Wild (2 sloja) na prstancu pa še z enim slojem Golden Rose laka, medtem ko na mezincu in sredincu pa so nanešeni 3je sloji laka.

I didn't have any problems with application, drying time is short, so I even didn't use any fast drying TC.

Z nanosom nisem imela nobenih težav. Posuši se tudi kar hitro, tako da nisem uporabila hitrosušečega nadlaka.

I really like how it looks by itself and also layered. What do you think about it? I'm wondering how would this beauty looks like over darker color. Maybe I'll try that soon.

Roses

I saw this beautiful roses nail art so many times and I always wanted to try it out. I found a great photo tutorial at BeautyLab and decided to give it a try. It looked easily so why not...

I used these polishes:

Golden Rose [Care + Strong] - 182 for base color

Essence - Once Upon a Time & Stamp me! White for roses

Yes Love - 287 for leaves

I didn't mind that the color of base color wasn't real, because I didn't have time for that, so I just wanted that the roses was perfectly visible... I added roses just on ring finger and thumb, because I find it even more special.

I'll definetely try this more often, it's so cute. I must admit I like it even more on pictures, because when I look at my nails, it annoys me that roses aren't perfectly located. I'm a perfectionist, I know. Did you ever try to make roses? Share a link if you did.

Golden Rose [Care + Strong] - 182

Today I've for you so beautiful and cute polish. Golden Rose Care + Strong with the name - 182 (what a beautiful name).

I added 2 coats and 1 coat of Essie - G2G. How would I describe this color - lilac pink. Sometimes it looks more pink and sometimes more lilac. Color is most accurate on first and second picture I think. It's really hard to capture its real color.

First one is a perfect lilac pink, I'm wearing it now for 2 days and I just LOVE it (but it's so hard to capture its real color). I wanted silver and gold one from Nail Art collection, because I read that they are perfect for stamping. I didn't googled the numbers so I just said her to bring me silver and gold one. So she thought that they were right but they are glitters so they're not good for stamping - gold and one with a stunning holographic glitter. I'll definetely try to use silver one for a full manicure, I just need to empty one bottle and get a clean brush, because this has tiny brush for nail art. Notice to all slovenian bloggers and readers: Lakizanohte.si starts selling Golden Rose polishes! They're adding them today on their webpage.

Why has OPI discontinued this beauty? And Original, Fantasy, Divine, Glamour???? So bad, because now they're really hard to get and I'm sure a lot of us would love to have them, right? There is never enough of holos, especially if they're stunning like these.

Aaaand another holo, which I got from Elchy and I'm still waiting for this beauty.. But I wanted to include it here too and I'm sure you all know which one is that even without a picture. (Edit -18/2 - I added the picture)
