BeautyBird Stick Up Self-Adhesive Nail Foils

I've been really lazy so I'm not really wearing nail polish lately because of this heat we have (yay, Summer :L), that's why I decided to try out some stickers I have. :D

I got these from Nihrida months ago but I never got around to try them on. I got this super cute red polka dot pattern. <3 I was really sceptical about stickers, because I only tried Essence Studio Nails - Nail Fashion Stickers in Catwalk! so far, which didn't work for me at all. I wouldn't say these are foils (they do not need need adhesive glue) but stickers.
BeautyBird Stick Up Self-Adhesive Nail Foils
You get 20 self-adhesive stickers and a file. Your nails have to be clean, then you choose a sticker that will fit your nails and apply it. Smooth down with fingers and file off the excess. For better results you can add a coat of clear polish first.

I skipped this step and I applied stickers directly on clean nails. I had some problems with finding the the right size, so some of them don't fit perfectly on sides. Same with thumb - the biggest sticker is really rounded and since my thumb nail is really squared at cuticles, I cut off that rounded part of sticker and got perfect squared sticker. They're easy to smooth down, I used my fingertips and wooden cuticle pusher. Lastly I removed the excess with a file.

Final result....

I applied them on Sunday and today on Thursday I'm still wearing them. I'm doing regular stuff I usually do on a daily basis, I took so many showers because it's so hot, washed dishes all the time, I even spent one day at pool... And after 4 days they look like this... :i

Close up...

Some stickers are still perfect but some of them already lifted on tips but they aren't thick so they don't scratch my face when I touch it like those from Essence. You can't even notice these mistakes if you're not really searching them.To remove them you simply pull them off the nails. :)

The whole set costs 9€ and they offer lots of different designs. A bit pricey for my wallet, but I must say they worked great for me. Not something you could use every week but they're perfect for holidays, special occasions etc,...

I got so many compliments so far and lots of them didn't believe that these are stickers. :i What do you think about these? Do you like wearing stickers? Thanks for reading! :h

Holiday Guest Post #12: So Nailed

I would like to say Hiiiiii to all new followers I got in those days. :$ I can't believe I'm at 986 now! Only 14 left to reach that magic 1000 I always dreamed about! :L I hope I'll be back with my nails soon, so you won't get bored and left me before I even start again. :P It's still a bit awkward for me to paint my nails so at the moment I still won't experiment much. :)

We're having Stéphanie from So Nailed here today. We became great friends and I just love talking with her. <3 I'm so happy she decided to make another guest post for me, the first one was about Deborah Lippmann - Glitter in the Air. S. is very talented girl, who takes her pictures in totally different way than mostly of us, that's why I love her even more. Let's see what she has prepared for us...

Hello Lovelies !

It's my turn for a guest post on Ivana's blog !
So I'll present to you: My take on a nude half moon !

It's been a long while since I last posted, and I'm honored I that I may post on Iv's blog again !
We talked about doing a nude half moon a while ago, I tried out a couple of things; freehand, with those little white paper rings...
But I wanted something more special, more elaborated...

So for this manicure, I used 3 coats of Claire's 212, and then I cut out half moons out of those little lace stickers I got a while ago (from Réserve Naturelle, a french store I think)
I'm such a perfectionist, I wanted every sticker to have the same size, but I kinda failed :(
Haha and I lost one during 10 minutes, so yeah, that one didn't stick that well anymore (I hope it's not that noticeable)

I think this mani is very feminine and delicate, what do you think ?
It gives me kind of a spring feeling, which I need now
I love winter but here in Belgium, the weather was SUPER rainy, and that's not winter for me :(
Hopefully the weather is a lot better where you are !

Lots of love and kisses
Xx. S

I'm in love with your Half Moon Manicure. :L This is another way to make it, if you don't want to use polish to make your half moons, great job S. :) I think you send me these stickers too so I have to try this soon! But I must say that half moons look so much better on oval nails! Oh, sometimes I really want to file my nails oval, but I think it won't suit me. :$
Btw.... I totally want an Ipad now. :L You could be a hand model! You would sell me Ipad in a sec and I also would run to check your blog, I can see you're "reading" it when you're taking pics! :D

Thank you so much for your lovely post S.! :k In case you never visited S.'s blog, check So Nailed and follow! But S. you should start posting more, we miss your posts! :i

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for reading. :i

Essence Studio Nails - Nail Fashion Sticker - Catwalk!

New Essence stuff have finally reached our stores, yaay! One of the things I wanted to test were these Nail Fashion Stickers. I picked Catwalk! for my first test. They cost 2,19€, you get 14 stickers in one package.

Instructions on the back of these sticker are:
1. Be sure that your natural nails are clean & freaseless, if necessary push back cuticles;

2. Select correct size strip for each nail;
3. Apply the predecorated fashion sticker onto your nails - leave a little space between cuticles and nail fashion sticker;

4. Press sticker onto nail white flatten surface through gentle rubbin
;
5. Smooth excess over nail edge, gentle file off excess of the sticker with essence special fashion file - ready!

Essence recommend their special fashion file, but any file will work I guess. I'm using a glass file and I didn't have any problems. I filed down the excess of the sticker in one direction.

So first I was trying to select correct sizes for my nails, if you failed with any sticker you can easily pull it off and pick another one!

I didn't have any problems with placing, just the wrinkles at the side of my nails going me crazy but I pull them off and on until I apply them without wrinkles. That wasn't a good idea, because stickers didn't stick anymore on my nails when I pull them off and on a couple of times. I still have some tiny wrinkles, but I was happy how I put them on.

They really look very nice but I was so sad when I came to my pointer and thumb. I had to pick smaller size of sticker for my pointer, because all were too big and The largest sticker isn't big enough for my thumb! I was trying to put it on my thumb but it was a disaster, because there was still to much space left.

I add a coat of TC, because without they looks so plastic and I don't like it.

Picture were taken on the SUN, I can't believe it cames out but just only for a few minutes, I really miss sunny weather! sedih

I totally forgot that you can heat the sticker to make it bigger, I read this on other blogs, maybe I'll try this next time, but I'm not sure if I will buy them again. It looks cool but I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to my nails!

After one day wearing them I change my mind, because the tips were starting to lift and when I touch my face or anything else it scratches so much! They are maybe good for special occasions or something like that, but for wearing them all days I don't think so.

What do you think about them?
