Max Factor False Lash Effect WP

No I'm not turning into make up blog, because my make up skills aren't really good enough to show them, but I wanted to share my fave mascara that I've been using more than 2 years now. Did I ever tell you I had an obsession with mascaras years ago? Well, I bought every single mascara they released in hopes to make my lashes longer. :D But of course all their commercials look fab because all the models wear false lashes. Where's the point? xo I tried lots of them but I think I found the one for me that makes my lashes as I want them to be.

All I want from mascara is lenght, because I adore loooong eyelashes. I'm not born with them so I need something to make them longer.
Max Factor - False Lash Effect Waterproof Mascara
Max Factor False Lash Effect mascaras have a really big plastic brush and I love those. I fell in love with plastic brushes when I tried their Masterpiece Mascara (I still remember that Geisha commercial :D). But the main problem about Masterpiece and Masterpiece Max is the amount of mascara you get for quite high price (Masterpiece contains only 4,5 ml and Masterpiece Max 7,2 ml = both cost around 12€). That's the only reason I don't buy them often... So when they released False Lash Effect I had to have it!

It really has a big plastic brush with very short bristles so you have to be very careful with application. Especially applying mascara on the bottom lashes but when you get used to it, you'll do it like a pro. :)

Because I don't want this long post to show on the first page of blog, please click more to see the rest of the post. :)

I decided to make some before and after pictures. I always use eyelash curler, that's a must for me. As you can see on the pictures below, it really helps my lashes to curl and I desperately need that. :D It gives me lenght and it separate my lashes and that's why I love it! <3

Picture 1: My natural eyelashes.

I'm "lucky" enough to have really straight eyelashes. They're not super short but if I apply just mascara on, it looks like I'm wearing nothing. Some mascaras promise the lift, but they didn't work on me. :)

Picture 2: Curled eyelashes with eyelash curler.

I always MUST curl my lashes with eyelash curler. Yes, that super scary thing. :D I read that lots of ladies are scared of using it but it's such a handy tool. Okay, you need to be careful to not squeeze your lids but that's it. :) For a better result I always heat it A LITTLE with a hairdryer and my lashes curl faster.

Picture 3: Eyelashes with 1 coat of Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara Waterproof.

If your lashes are stubborn like mine, they'll go back to straight in no time. So the secret is in WATERPROOF mascara. :) Only those hold the curl for a whole day. I read they're not good for eyelashes but I just can't use any others. :$

Price: 13,90€ for 13,1 ml of product. It's a bit pricey but I check special offers or discount coupons all the time, so last time I bought it for 9,73€. :)

Availability: I bought it in DM, but they're everywhere in our drugstores (Müller, drogerija Tuš,...).
If you do not need a waterproof version, they're also available in pink version (with a lovely pink container) and the purple version (Fusion) but they're not available in WP (at least our drugstores don't have it).

I know Max Factor isn't available in US but I think the Cover Girl LashBlast Mascara is the same with the same brush just the name and the company is different.

Removal: I remove mascara with Balea Augen Make-up Entferner Waterproof, which is an oil based eye make up remover and it removes it without a problem.

I hope you'll find this review helpful. Just remember, what works for me doesn't mean it'll work for you too. I get everything I want from this mascara so I'll definitely purchase it again.

What's your favorite mascara? :)

Btw, I also wanted to say Happy Easter <3 to all who are celebrating it today! I wanted to do something special with eggs this year and because my dear Veri loves this game, I decided to paint them with acrylic paint!
Yes, Angry Birds Easter Eggs! :i Do you like them? How do you dye Easter Eggs? :) Do you like Angry Birds? :D

Have a lovely day dear readers and followers!

Xoxo,
Ivana :k

  2. I have the purple one from this. I never buy expensive products from this, but I accidentally found one in the make-up boxes at work for only 2,50! So I bought it. Not sure if I like it on it's own, but I do wear it and then layer 2 other mascara's over it. A lot of times I get asked what mascara I use :)

My absolute favorite mascara brand is Miss Sporty. I believe the most expensive one is € 2,99 and it does an amazing job!

And I really like your Easter Eggs, very creative :)

    1. I'd buy for 2,5€ too! :D
Miss Sporty? I must say I never like MS, probably because everything look so cheap and not interesting, at least not for my taste. We just got Catrice instead of Miss Sporty and I'm glad, because now I can really enjoy new goodies. :D
