Essence SYF - Purple Magic

Purple magic is a nail polish from Essence Show your feet line. They are meant to be for feet but we all use it for our hand too. Why not? ihikhik What I really like is a big flat brush, because you can quickly lacquer all your nails.

I got this from my friend just to see if I like the color or not. It's a blue purple with shimmer. Show your feet nail polishes usually need 1 coat for perfect opacity, I had to add 2 just because I wasn't careful. I think this one will be great for stamping too.

It's a really pretty color in the bottle, but I really don't like it how it looks like on my nails. I don't know why, maybe it doesn't match to my skintone or I'm just not used to this kind of color. But I'm sure I won't buy it, because I don't need it.ihikhik

What do you think? Would you wear it or not?

Essence Studio Nails - Nail Fashion Sticker - Catwalk!

New Essence stuff have finally reached our stores, yaay! One of the things I wanted to test were these Nail Fashion Stickers. I picked Catwalk! for my first test. They cost 2,19€, you get 14 stickers in one package.

Instructions on the back of these sticker are:
1. Be sure that your natural nails are clean & freaseless, if necessary push back cuticles;

2. Select correct size strip for each nail;
3. Apply the predecorated fashion sticker onto your nails - leave a little space between cuticles and nail fashion sticker;

4. Press sticker onto nail white flatten surface through gentle rubbin
;
5. Smooth excess over nail edge, gentle file off excess of the sticker with essence special fashion file - ready!

Essence recommend their special fashion file, but any file will work I guess. I'm using a glass file and I didn't have any problems. I filed down the excess of the sticker in one direction.

So first I was trying to select correct sizes for my nails, if you failed with any sticker you can easily pull it off and pick another one!

I didn't have any problems with placing, just the wrinkles at the side of my nails going me crazy but I pull them off and on until I apply them without wrinkles. That wasn't a good idea, because stickers didn't stick anymore on my nails when I pull them off and on a couple of times. I still have some tiny wrinkles, but I was happy how I put them on.

They really look very nice but I was so sad when I came to my pointer and thumb. I had to pick smaller size of sticker for my pointer, because all were too big and The largest sticker isn't big enough for my thumb! I was trying to put it on my thumb but it was a disaster, because there was still to much space left.

I add a coat of TC, because without they looks so plastic and I don't like it.

Picture were taken on the SUN, I can't believe it cames out but just only for a few minutes, I really miss sunny weather! sedih

I totally forgot that you can heat the sticker to make it bigger, I read this on other blogs, maybe I'll try this next time, but I'm not sure if I will buy them again. It looks cool but I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to my nails!

After one day wearing them I change my mind, because the tips were starting to lift and when I touch my face or anything else it scratches so much! They are maybe good for special occasions or something like that, but for wearing them all days I don't think so.

What do you think about them?

Pink Ombre Manicure + Konad

What's up, folks? senyum

It's such a boring day and my head is killing me. I have insomnia again, can't sleep at night, I usually fall asleep at 9 AM. xpasti I hope I'll be better tomorrow.

A few days ago I recevied a konad image plate M79 with a polka dot pattern, yaaaay! So I tried it today. I used same nail polishes, which I used for my Ombre manicure - Bubble gum pink and Vava Voom. I totally forgot to say that Vava Voom is one coater, so pigmented, so I found another nail polish for stamping.

I must admit that this pattern is so hard to stamp, because sometimes dots lose the round shape and then it doesn't look good so I had to stamp it a couple of times to get a decent round dots. I think I need more practise. senyum

Do you like "Polka Dots" design?

Pink Ombre Manicure

I tried something new today, yaay! A few days ago I saw this super cute pink ombre manicure at Esmerald Sparkle and I fell in love with it - how couldn't if I adore pink! I had in plan to test my new Konad plate, but I had to try it on my own.

I watched a couple of videos on youtube and at Seventeen Magazin and I give it a try.

You can start with one color and add it white or black nail polish to lighten or to darken the shade, or you can pick 2 polishes and mixed them together. I picked the last version.

Nail Polishes I used was a Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Bubblegum Pink (a light bubble gum shimmer pink) and Conffeti - Vava Voom (a berry creme pink).

I mixed them on a piece of paper with a toothpick. First I add one drop of darker one in 3 drops of light one. I totally forgot that I need a clean brush so I had to do first step twice. ihikhik And so on! On thumb I add Bubblegum pink and on pinkie Vava Voom.

This is how it looks like.senyumkenyit Btw.. weather is still so bad, so it's really hard to take good pictures!

My ring and middle finger look almost the same, I should mix darker shade for my ring finger.fikir

You should mix enough nail polish to add 2 coats on 2 nails, don't forget!

So, have you ever tried it? Do you like it? I'm sure I'll try it again but I think I'll choose one darker color and I'll lighten it with white. senyum

Happy day!

Glitter removal with Foil method

I'm sure you all know how difficult is removing glitter polish, right? I saw this tutorial of removing a glitter polish with foil from Nihrida.

I already tried it when I was removing MAAH. Because I was boring this time I took pictures of this method to show you this trick, but I'm sure you already know it. Here we go. Wather is so bad today, it's dark and it rains all day long so the pictures are bad.

I had a Petunia Sparkle for 4 days on my nails and still looks good! On the right hand just one of my nail chipped so I decided to remove it. senyumkenyit

All you need is a cotton ball or pad, nail polish remover (I'm using Aveo from Müller) and a 10 pieces of foil.

Now you have to soak a cotton ball/pad into a nail polish removal and put it on you nail. You take a piece of foil and wrap the finger with it. Repet on your all nails.

Now you just have to wait a couple of minutes and then remove the foil with a cotton ball/pad. Glitter smoothly stays on the cotton pad and your nail is clean.

How the glitter stays on a cotton ball you can see on the picture below. If whole nail still isn't clean, you can just simply turn the cotton ball and clean it with a clean side of it.

That's it! Simple, right? How do you remove glitters or nail polishes, which is really hard to take off?senyum

Happy Sunday!
