Holiday Guest Post #13: The Polished Perfectionist

Another holiday guest post, maybe the holidays are really gone but I don't want to change the name of this guest post set, and we have an Orthodox New Year's Eve on Friday too. :P

I'm so excited to have AmyGrace from The Polished Perfectionist here. :$ She's probably my role model! When I "grow up" I want to have nails like she has with such a perfect application, pictures and everything. I can stalk her blog all the time, because she's just amazing. <3
Let's see what she has prepared for us today. <3

Hi everyone!

I'm really excited; being asked by Ivana to make a guest post for her wonderful blog is just.. wow. I love her nails and she's so sweet, but of course you already know that. It feels good to help a sweet blogging friend out! Ivana, thanks for the opportunity! I hope your hand recovers quickly so we can see your beautiful nails again. ♥

No pink on my nails, but I hope you guys can appreciate my purple mani. ^^ I started with applying two coats of Diamond Cosmetics - Crushed Velvet. This purple is so lovely I almost felt guilty for adding something to it, but I had to make my nails look a bit more special for this special post. I decided to sponge the tips of my nails with Fowl Play from Orly. Fowl Play is a masterpiece, look at all those awesome glitter bits and flakes (noticed the big one in the letter O?)! I was curious how my nails would look matte, so later I applied one coat of matte top coat. I like both looks, what do you think?

Thanks for watching!

I'm in loooooove, that's why I made this pictures so big! <3 Everything is just perfect on this manicure. :L I never thought of using a flakie for sponging but now I definitely need to try this out! I love both but shiny version just a little more. AmyGrace thank you for sending me this amazing manicure, I'm really honoured to have you here. :h

I'm sure you all know AmyGrace, but just in case you still don't follow her blog The Polished Perfectionist, you should and I promise you, you'll be obssesed with her :P

Do you like both versions? :L

Thanks for reading! :rainbow

Have a lovely day,
Ivana :k

My Fave Manicures in 2011

I'll break guest posts with one of my post today, because I really wanted to share my favorite manis of last year with you. :D I also need to take pictures of top 2011 polishes but I still didn't get a daylight bulb. I will probably buy it soon. :) It wasn't so hard to choose like it was with polishes, so here we go. If you want to see whole posts of manicures, just check the links below for more information about what I used and similar. :) I wanted to pick only 10 but then I decided to make them 3x4, so I could make this sets. :P

I wish I had longer nails back then, because I really prefer long nails on me. :) But I was quite happy with my first stamping skittle manicure I did for Valentine's Day, lovely Leopard French Manicure, Polka Dot Manicure made with dotting tool and Ruffian. :L I'm in love with Ruffians, I can't wait to do more of them. :e

I love both versions of Funky French with holos I made, can't decide which one I love more. :L Another Ruffian manicure on longer nails as first above and the last stamping manicure on amazing base color with foil on my ring finger and cute rhinestones in the middle of bows. Oh, I was so happy with this manicure and I always want nails like this, I love this length on me! :L

Very Berry is probably my favorite Essence's polish at the moment, it's so unique pink with purple undertones and I definitely need a back up of this beauty, of course my New Year's Eve Milani Gold Manicure, studded bright pink manicure I got so many comments for and last but not last my Ombre try, I wore it when I graduated, that's why I love it even more. :$

These are my picks of my fave 2011 manicures. Which one is your favorite and why? Would you maybe pick another mani? Which one? I'd like to hear what you loved most in last year on my blog, if you can remember what I have posted during the whole year. :$ Let me now if you're missing something or ask anything. :)

Thanks for reading! :rainbow

Holiday Guest Post #12: So Nailed

I would like to say Hiiiiii to all new followers I got in those days. :$ I can't believe I'm at 986 now! Only 14 left to reach that magic 1000 I always dreamed about! :L I hope I'll be back with my nails soon, so you won't get bored and left me before I even start again. :P It's still a bit awkward for me to paint my nails so at the moment I still won't experiment much. :)

We're having Stéphanie from So Nailed here today. We became great friends and I just love talking with her. <3 I'm so happy she decided to make another guest post for me, the first one was about Deborah Lippmann - Glitter in the Air. S. is very talented girl, who takes her pictures in totally different way than mostly of us, that's why I love her even more. Let's see what she has prepared for us...

Hello Lovelies !

It's my turn for a guest post on Ivana's blog !
So I'll present to you: My take on a nude half moon !

It's been a long while since I last posted, and I'm honored I that I may post on Iv's blog again !
We talked about doing a nude half moon a while ago, I tried out a couple of things; freehand, with those little white paper rings...
But I wanted something more special, more elaborated...

So for this manicure, I used 3 coats of Claire's 212, and then I cut out half moons out of those little lace stickers I got a while ago (from Réserve Naturelle, a french store I think)
I'm such a perfectionist, I wanted every sticker to have the same size, but I kinda failed :(
Haha and I lost one during 10 minutes, so yeah, that one didn't stick that well anymore (I hope it's not that noticeable)

I think this mani is very feminine and delicate, what do you think ?
It gives me kind of a spring feeling, which I need now
I love winter but here in Belgium, the weather was SUPER rainy, and that's not winter for me :(
Hopefully the weather is a lot better where you are !

Lots of love and kisses
Xx. S

I'm in love with your Half Moon Manicure. :L This is another way to make it, if you don't want to use polish to make your half moons, great job S. :) I think you send me these stickers too so I have to try this soon! But I must say that half moons look so much better on oval nails! Oh, sometimes I really want to file my nails oval, but I think it won't suit me. :$
Btw.... I totally want an Ipad now. :L You could be a hand model! You would sell me Ipad in a sec and I also would run to check your blog, I can see you're "reading" it when you're taking pics! :D

Thank you so much for your lovely post S.! :k In case you never visited S.'s blog, check So Nailed and follow! But S. you should start posting more, we miss your posts! :i

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for reading. :i

Holiday Guest Post #11: Nailside

Are you already tired of guesposts? Hope you're not, because I'm still not finished. I love all posts I published and I've few more to come. :e

We're having Jane from Nailside here today. Yap, the girl who can rock schotch tape manicures like nobody. How many times I tried to do something like she showed us in her tutorial posts on her blog but I failed miserably - or the polish isn't 100% dry and I smudge everything or my lines aren't perfect like hers. 8) Let's see what has she prepared for us. :)

Hello Ivana Thinks Pink readers! Of course I immediately said yes when Ivana asked me to make a guest post for her blog. I spotted her perfect manis a long time before I started blogging myself, so being here is an incredible honor :-)

Ivana recently told me that she liked the heart design so much from an Essence stamping plate that I’d shared on my blog, so that’s what I used in this mani. At first I wanted a coral pink from Essence for the base color, which coincidentally is named Think Pink! :-D But because my camera is terrible at capturing corally pinks (it makes them look very orange) I decided to go for something even better: a pink holo, I know how much Ivana likes those! ;-) I picked Smooth from the brand Teeez, which Ivana’s already showed you before in a super cute funky French mani. I love how easy it applies and only two smooth coats later I was ready to stamp the heart design with black. I don't have a lot of stamping experience, but this design was pretty okay to work with. And it's so girly, love it ^^

And this brings us to the end of my guest post, I hope you enjoyed it :-)

Thanks for having me Ivana! :-* And may your hand heal soon because we really miss seeing your beautiful nails here!

<3 Sooo pretty! <3 This plate is a must have! :) I'm so honoured you pick this pattern and lovely holo for today's post Jane. :L Yap, she knows what I love for sure. :h I can't believe you still remeber that Funky French manicure I did months ago. :) So sweet of you! I'm honoured for having you here, because you're just amazing. :h

Do you already spotted this lovely stamping plate from Essence? It comes in a set with stamper and scraper. What do you think about this lovely combination? For slovenians readers: Did you already spot this plate in store? If so, where? :)

In case you never saw Jane's amazing schotch tape manicures, you must check her blog at Nailside and subscribe now! Please tell me I'm not the only one who tried to do a mani inspired by here and failed? Or am I just the only one who can't deal with tape? :P

Have a lovely weekend dear readers and followers and thanks for reading! Btw I changed the header of my blog, let me know what do you think! :)

Xoxo,
Ivana :k

Holiday Guest Post #10: Nails Made Simple

I'm so happy so many ladies decided to share a post for my blog. :e My nails are naked again, I just don't have patience to paint my nails when my wrist still doesn't cooperate with me, especially with holding things or writing. xo I hope I'll be back soon! :)

We're having Maria from Nails Made Simple here today. <3 Her nails are just amazing and she's just a cutie pie. :h Let's see what she decided to show us. :e

Hello to all of Ivana's fabulous readers! Its my pleasure to take over Ivana's blog for a day! woohoo ;) As soon as i was asked to be a guest for her blog the color Pink came to my mind BUT lets be real here.. no one can do Pink manis like Ivana so I didn't want to come here and make a fool out of myself ,So ill stick to what i love the most and that is GLITTER! oh yes! im a glitter lover! if it sparkles its mine . For NYE I went with one of my favorite glitters which is OPI-Crown Me Already  from their Miss Universe collections 2011 ,this pretty gem is a clear base packed with silver fine glitter, slightly bigger silver glitter & hexagon shaped glitter which only means its a glitterbomb in your nails. Let's take a look shall we?

If you don't own this polish I suggest you put your shoes on and run to your local nail supply store and snag this polish its perfect for every occasion :) BTW this is only 2 coats & 1 coat of SV.

Ivana thank you so much for thinking of me when selecting your guest bloggers I hope i did you proud & didn't disappoint! :)

I wish you a very fast & painless recovery I miss your beautiful manis <3

Maria

I went with Gold glitter and she picked Silver glitter for NYE. :i I totally forgot I have this one too, but now after I saw this beautiful swatches, I should wear it soon. I love wearing glitters, they've a special place in my heart, especially when you don't need lots of coats for full opacity. :L Btw Maria, Carmelo says HI! :P
