Stargazer - 307

I owe you swatches of Stargazer #307, right? :) As I told you before, I got this polish from Esther at Fab Fingertips months ago and never had a chance to try it out. I wanted Space Cadet (Orly) for ages so Esther kindly sent me this polish instead, because it's supposed to be Space Cadet's dupe. :) Thanks Esther! <3

Stargazer #307 is more on a sheer side, I think I needed 4 coats for full opacity but it's definitely worth it. I like everything about this polish except the green shade which was visible most of the times under lamps and it drove me crazy, because I can't stand green on my nails. :) I will have to wear it on a daylight to see if I'll change my minds. :D

This beauty is multichrome foil with teal base - you can spot green, pink, purple, yellow and bronze color. I took all this pictures under daylight bulb.

I wasn't satisfied with pictures and my fingers posing, that's why I made this collage of pics to show you how green can this polish be. :D

I'm really loving Elsa's round pictures, hope she won't mind if I start using them too. :$

Nail Tek - Foundation 2
Stargazer - #307 / 4 coats

What do you think? It's also great base for stamping like I showed you here. :)

Do you own Space Cadet or any of its dupes? :) Like I said, it's way to green for my taste so I'm having bigger hopes for Models Own - Pinky Brown. :$ What's your favorite multi or duochrome?

Thanks for reading!

Brown/Taupe Comparison

I got S-he - #500 from my friend to try it out. First I wanted to paint all my nails with it, but I change my mind when I put it on my pinkie. So I decided to try other brown/taupe polishes from my collection.

From L to R:
S-he -#500
Essence LE Into the Wild - Desert Fox
Essence LE Creamylicious - Chocolate Shake
Essence LE Into the Wild - Zulu

Hmm... How would I describe these colors? #500 and Desert Fox is brown/taupe cremes. These 2 could be dupes or very very close, but I think that #500 is more brown than Desert Fox. Chocolate Shake is a brown with cooper shimmer nail polish and Zulu is a light grey with a touch of brown creme. Zulu dries in plastic-satin finish, it's not matte, but for this comparison I added 1 coat Seche Vite.

I like Chocolate Shake most and even Zulu with TC looks beautiful. Chocolate Shake was one of my first polishes I bought when I became obssesed with polishes and TE from Essence. sengihnampakgigi

Which one do you like?

I'm going to paint my nails with PINK!

Essence LE Metallics - Cooper Rulez!

Magnetics Polishes are now so popular so I had to try it on my own too. I only got one for myself but with Colorful bottle's help I will get others soon! Thank you sweety!peluk

When I saw preview of this collection I knew I won't like the colors and I was sure I will buy only one! But because Magnetics polishes are very rare here and these aren't expensive I wanted to have them all!

First I tried this one on a paper with Essence magnet and it doesn't work. There were some weak stripes but I didn't like the result. So I read around that kitchen magnets work too, I took one Shrek magnet from our refrigerator. It works on paper so good that I was happy I got them.

Today I was searching for something taupe but then I decided to try this one. My nails are curved so when I first tried it was just one stripe. I removed it and tried again. This time I move magnet from one side of my nail to other and I got 2 stripes, yay! But I want 3, then will look better and more evenly. ihikhik

Cooper rulez! is a dark brown with a lot of bigger orange and golden shimmer. Beautiful! The result isn't perfect and same on all nails, but I will keep practicing!

Here are my Shrek magnets I really love! I took this picture when I started collecting them, now I have few more.ihikhik

Who don't like Shrek and Donkey?star

So, how do you like magnetics polishes? Which one is your favorite?

Giraffe Manicure

Yesterday I was reading blogs I follow as usual and I saw this cute tutorial for Giraffe Manicure at Katrina's Nail Blog. She really did an amazing job!sembah Thank you for the tutorial, it's really helpful!

I was really impressed with it, because it's so cute and adorable, but I didn't think I'll do it too, well not yesterday. I had in plan to remove Rich & Famous, but then I give a giraffe a try, but I wasn't sure if I could do it. I really don't have a hand for any nail art, so I just love konad for upgrading my manicures. ihikhik

I choose different color for base and for dots, but I did a quite similar giraffe as Katrina, but my giraffe isn't so adorable like her. All I've used is on this picture.

Base color: China Glaze - Rich & Famous
Dots on giraffe: Essence LE Into the Wild - Desert Fox
Dots: Essence LE Sun Delicious: Sunny Side Up
TC: Seche Vite Dry Fast TC

I don't have a dotting tool, so I had to improvise. I tried with toothpick, pencil,... but it didn't work. But then I try a ballpoint and it worked!!! Dots aren't so round but for the for the first time of doing this I was quite satisfied.

So, here is the picture of my version of Giraffe Manicure.sengihnampakgigi

What do you think - Fail or success?? Maybe it would be better with other colors and not pink. It's really not difficult so if I can make it, everyone can!kenyit If anyone will do this manicure, please let me know I would really love to see them.

Happy Sunday!
