OPI DS Temptation

Temptation is part of OPI's Designer Series, which was released with DS Bold I think. I didn't want Bold, because I have Mrs. Claus (China Glaze) which is supposed to be its dupe, but I wanted this badly. :i I got this polish from Iris and I'm so happy she found it for me. <3 There's a lot of going on in this polish: navy dark sheer base with lots of blurple, purple and silver glitter.

When you check google photos of this beauty, you'll find lots of color inaccurate pictures, probably because this blurple is so hard to catch. I have so many photos where Temptation looks way to blue as in real. :/ You should definitely see this polish in person, so you'll know what I'm talking about. :D

Glitter in Temptation is very dense so 2 coats were enough. :) I wish it lasted longer, but next day after long shopping my nails were chipped. :/ I still didn't find a way to wear glitters longer, because usually the whole nail come off. :/ Maybe I should layer it over similar creme color so the glitter could have something under to stick better? Any tips?

Sometimes it looks more purple and sometimes more blue, depends on lightning. But I just simply adore this polish! <3

What do you think about this polish? Do you like it and own it?

Xoxo,
Ivana :k

    1. Hi Lexi! Nope, I never tried anything from CND. :/ You're using these 2 and glitters stay longer on nail? I'll keep this two gems in my minds when I'll need new base and top coat! Thanks for sharing! :)

  7. Got this around holiday time last year along with the blue DS - Magic. Of the two I like the flat finish of Magic - but the colors in this glitter are really something. Just need to put a ton of Gelous on it and then my SV - it eats my top coats like most glitters do. Not too sure how come OPI is going to glitters in their DS series - that was not the idea behind it when the line started.

  8. With regard to your comment of wishing this lasted longer - have you been putting the green capped Gelous on - it's a gel coat that is clear. That product really helps glitters stick and stay put. Then when that is dry - apply 2 coats of SV top coat - and every day or 2 after that - another coat of SV and you will get this one to stick and not chip off. Ditto for neons that tend to chip easy.

    1. I have never heard of Gelous before! I will definitely look around, because I'm so sad when they chip so fast, especially when they look gorgeous like this one. :L

  12. So so beautiful!

I always had bad peeling with glitter polishes but now I usually layer them over a creme with a good base coat before that so everything sticks.

    1. Živjo! Vse lake OPI, Orly, Zoya, China Glaze, Color Club in podobno, sm dobila v swapu z drugimi blogerkami. :) Pri nas so cene teh znamk malce previsoke za moj žep, zato mislim, da se najbolj splača pobrskati bo e-bayu ali amazonu in naročiti iz tujine, če le imaš to možnost. :)
Hvala ti! :) Laki hitro postanejo prava mala (beri: velika) obsesija. :D
